Here are several suggestions on how to proceed with getting acquainted with using the Etomite CMS. Once you start experimenting with the system you will discover that your imagination may be the only limiting factor when it comes to developing sites using Etomite.
First, take some time to check out every part of the Etomite Manager. There is a lot more going on in there than meets the eye at first glance. The main menu contains many general site management related options.Next you might want to become familiar with the Document Tree section of the Etomite Manager. This is where you control the document hierarchy of your site. Clicking on a folder toggles it open or closed. Right clicking over a document title presents a context menu which contains several of the more frequently used document management actions. The menu also has a Drag-N-Drop feature for rearranging the documents within the document tree hierarchy.
The real power of Etomite lies in the Manage Resources section. This section allows you to create your own page Templates, PHP code Snippets, HTML/Javascript Chunks, and manage Keywords. Take some time to look over the existing resources to get a better insight on how they relate to the overall functionality within Etomite.
